227 illegal migrants who tried to enter Poland illegally from Belarus in three days

227 illegal migrants who tried to enter Poland illegally from Belarus were revealed during the last three days (from September 30 to October 2) by the services protecting the Polish-Belarusian border in Podlasie.

The events took place in the areas of official responsibility of the Border Guard Posts in: Leipzig, Szudziałów, Krynki, Kuźnica, Narewka, Białowieża, Bobrownik, Michałów, Dubicz Cerkiewne, Czeremcha and Mielnik. On Friday (September 30), 29 foreigners tried to cross the Polish-Belarusian border illegally. The most attempts, as many as 120, were made on Saturday (October 1). On Sunday, they were thwarted – 78. Foreigners tried to break through the existing technical barrier with the use of ladders, tried to make excavations, and 16 people (in the Bobrowniki area) got to our country through the border river Świsłocz.

Illegal migrants came from: Algeria, Eritrea, Egypt, Syria, Turkey, Yemen, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Congo, Cameroon, Lebanon, Somalia, Gambia and Côte d’Ivoire.
