77 migrants, hidden in three means of transport, intended to arrive illegally in Western Europe

At the Romanian Nădlac II Border Crossing Point , Arad county, two Romanian citizens and one Turkish, driving two vehicles registered in Romania, respectively Turkey and a van registered in Romania.

According to the documents accompanying the goods, the drivers were transporting pallets, cables and PVC profiles for various companies in Western European states.

Based on the risk analysis, the border police carried out a thorough control of the three means of transport. Thus, a total of 77 foreign citizens were discovered hidden in the cargo compartments .

The persons were picked up and transported to the headquarters of the sector for investigations where, following checks, our colleagues established that they are citizens of Bangladesh, Pakistan, India, Syria and Ethiopia, who intended to arrive fraudulently in a state in Western Europe.
