Hashish and cocaine in a car were detained at Bulgarian Customs

Customs officers at Kapitan Andreevo BCP found 6 kilograms of hashish and 530 grams of cocaine in a car.
In the case, the District Prosecutor’s Office – Haskovo brought as an accused K.H., 23 years old, a citizen of the Netherlands, for the fact that on 01.08.2023, through the  Kaptain Andreevo BCP , he attempted to transport across the country’s border from Bulgaria to Turkey high-risk narcotics – cocaine with a gross weight of 530 grams and hashish with a gross weight of 6 kilograms. 

It was established that on August 1, 2023, around 2:30 p.m., a car driven by K.H., arrived at the Kapitan Andreevo BCP. He traveled from the Netherlands through Bulgaria to Turkey. Border Police officers requested a thorough inspection of the car. In the course of the control actions, the customs officers found that packages containing a total of 6 kilograms of hashish and 530 grams of cocaine were hidden in the door cavities, totaling BGN 130 700. A trained customs dog was also involved in the actions to detect the narcotic substances. Of the driver K.H. a drug test was performed, and the device returned a positive result for the presence of cocaine.

The case is being investigated. The accused K.H. is detained for up to 72 hours by decree of the supervising prosecutor.
