Human Traffickers and Illegal Migramts Apprehended by Hungarian Police

A Ukrainian man driving a car, registered in Poland, was stopped by police in Siklós, who inspected the car which was suspected of being linked to the smuggling of migrants.

The 24-year-old Ukrainian man driving the car could not give a reasonable explanation for why he was in Hungary.

Shortly afterwards, eight illegal migrants were arrested by police in the Nagyharsány area. Members of the group of men declared themselves Syrian citizens. Migrants could not credibly prove their identity or the legality of their stay in Hungary.

Measures are being taken against apprehended human traffickers and migrants.
