Medicines likely to be counterfeit, worth more than 370,000 euros, detected at Romanias Nădlac II border crossing

At the Nădlac II Border Crossing Point , Arad county, a 39-year-old German citizen presented himself for border formalities on his way out of the country. The man was driving a van registered in Germany.

At the border control, the border policemen discovered, in the cargo compartment, several boxes on which were inscribed the names of known drugs, susceptible to counterfeiting. For the transported goods, the driver could not present documents of origin, which is why he was taken to the institution’s headquarters for additional checks.

During the investigations, the border police established that inside there were 17,263 boxes of drugs, likely to be counterfeited , with a total value of over 370,000 euros.
