More than 26 tons of unregulated phytosanitary products seized

In the operation, six people have been arrested in Spain and France and cash and seven vehicles have been seized. A multitude of financial assets have been blocked, including 14 bank accounts. The value of the seized assets exceeds one million euros

It is estimated that the criminal organization would have obtained an illegal profit close to three million euros derived from the illicit sale of these chemical products.

The uncontrolled use of phytosanitary products can have unfavourable effects on plant production and can also entail risks for humans, animals and the environment.
