On the border with Poland, a border guard dog “sniffed out” a pair of “narcotic” sneakers

Ukraine Border guards of the Lviv detachment at the Krakivets checkpoint were checking passengers of one of the regular buses bound for Poland. While communicating with the passenger, a 40-year-old citizen of Ukraine, the border guards had suspicions about the possible transportation by him of prohibited items, so he was invited for an additional interview.

During the check, a service dog reacted to the man, and pointed out the passenger’s sneakers by his behavior. After examining the shoes, border guards found “packages” with a substance, previously, marijuana, under the insoles.

This is not the first pair of sneakers in which service dogs helped to identify hidden drugs. Another traveller who was heading through this checkpoint to Poland was “caught” by a four-legged assistant of border guards.
