Seized 772 kilos of cocaine when they were going to be smuggled along the coast of Barbate

The Spanish Civil Guard has prevented the introduction of a cache of 772 kilos of cocaine along the coast of Barbate (Cádiz). The traffickers fled in the boat in the presence of the agents.

On May 1, at dawn, the civil guards that operate in the Integral External Surveillance System (SIVE) detected a boat that was sailing suspiciously towards the area of ​​the cliffs of the La Breña Natural Park in the town of Barbate. .

Various Citizen Security units and the Organized Crime and Anti-Drug Team (EDOA) of the Judicial Police of the Civil Guard of Cádiz attended the scene.

Just a few minutes after the RIB was sighted near the coast, the agents managed to abort the stash, preventing both the crew and the loaders from fleeing the scene with the vehicle that was waiting for them on land.The perpetrators of the stash, faced with police pressure, were forced to flee in the boat they were using. 

After the intervention, 22 bales of cocaine with a total weight of approximately 772 kilos were recovered and two short firearms with ammunition and ready to be detonated inside the vehicle were seized.
