Seven foreign nationals who illegally crossed the state border, discovered by border police

On 29.12.2023, border police from the Ostrov Border Police Sector detected the seven people who did not justify their presence in the area and did not speak Romanian. They stated that they are Syrian citizens and a Palestinian and do not possess identity documents.

The persons were taken to the institution’s headquarters for additional checks, and the investigation revealed that they had fraudulently crossed the Romanian state border from Bulgaria.

The border police officers carry out investigations, under the coordination of a prosecutor from the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Constanta Court of Appeal, regarding the commission of the crime of illegal crossing of the state border and for the identification and involvement of each person in the commission of the crime.
