20 Iraqis found by border guards from Constanta, Romania, at the edge of a forest

Romanian Border guards from the Ostrov Border Police Sector found near the state border, at the edge of a forest, 20 Iraqi citizens who tried to enter Romania illegally from the Republic of Bulgaria, on the “green” border, with the goal of reaching a state in Western Europe.

Acting on the basis of an information, the border police officers from the Ostrov Border Police Sector, Constanța County, discovered near the state border, at the edge of a forest between Esechioi and Ostrov localities, 20 foreign citizens who did not justify their presence in the area

Immediately, the persons in question were taken to the institution’s headquarters, and during the first checks, it was established that the persons in question were Iraqi citizens, 19 adults aged between 18 and 25, and a minor aged 13 years. During the investigation, they stated that they tried to enter the country illegally in order to reach a state in Western Europe.

In this case, the border guards are conducting investigations under the aspect of committing the crime of fraudulent crossing of the state border , the foreign citizens being handed over, today, according to the Romanian-Bulgarian readmission agreement, to the Border Police of the neighboring state, in order to continue the investigations. and ordering the necessary legal measures.
