Doping substances worth over 51,000 lei discovered at Romanian PTF Giurgiu crossing

On the way into the country, a van, registered in Bulgaria, driven by a 26-year-old Bulgarian citizen, presented itself at the border control.

On this occasion, following checks carried out on the means of transport, border police discovered several packages in the bed in the driver’s cabin, which contained 1,008 vials and 8,735 pills with anabolic agents.

The vials and pills in question, on the list of high-risk anabolic steroids according to Law 104/2008, estimated at a value of 51,408 lei , were seized for further investigation.
