28 Syrian citizens, found hiding in a truck loaded with cabbage 

At the Romanian Giurgiu Border Crossing Point, a Turkish citizen, driving a truck loaded with cabbage, presented himself to enter the country.

Based on the risk analysis, the border police carried out a thorough control of the means of transport. Thus, twenty-six men and two women, foreign citizens, were found hidden in the semi-trailer of the truck.

Following the control carried out on the persons and their luggage, no documents were found to certify their identity, they declared that they were Syrian citizens.

Based on the protocol concluded between the border authorities between the two states, the persons found hidden, the Turkish driver and the road assembly were taken over by the Bulgarian Border Police in order to continue the investigations.
