 280 foreigners who tried to illegally cross the Polish-Belarusian border

The events were recorded at eight posts of the Polish Border Guard, located on the border with Belarus. The interventions were carried out by officers from: Nowy Dwór, Krynki, Narewka, Dubicze Cerkiewne, Czeremcha, Mielnik, Bobrowniki and Białowieża.

Most attempts to cross the border illegally (130) took place on Saturday, 68 on Friday and 82 on Sunday.   

Among the revealed foreigners there were citizens of many countries. Among them were e.g. citizens of: Afghanistan, Yemen, Pakistan, Syria, Azerbaijan, Iraq and people from African countries, i.e. Sudan, Comoros, Nigeria, Somalia, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast and South Africa. The migrants tried to illegally enter the territory of Poland by overcoming e.g. swim across the border river Swisloch.

During the last weekend, 4 traffickers were also detained. One of the couriers transporting people who illegally entered the territory of Poland was detained on Sunday, and another 3 on Saturday. They tried to transport 20 foreigners deep into Western Europe.
