31 Syrian citizens hiding in a truck loaded with tomatoes

At the Romanian Giurgiu Border Crossing Point, a 44-year-old Turkish citizen, who was driving a truck carrying vegetables (tomatoes), presented himself to enter the country ) on the Turkey-Romania route.

Based on the risk analysis, our colleagues proceeded to carry out a thorough check in the cargo compartment of the truck, with the border police discovering 31 people hidden.

During the investigations, it was found that they are Syrian citizens and do not have identity documents, and from their statements it emerged that the driver was aware of their presence in the truck.
