34 foreign citizens, stopped at the border with Hungary
At the Nădlac II Border Crossing Point , three Turkish citizens and two Romanians, who were driving road vehicles registered in Turkey, presented themselves for border formalities on the way out of the country, as well as of cars registered in Romania.
The truck drivers were transporting, according to the documents accompanying the cargo, furniture, auto parts and an industrial machine for commercial companies in Germany and France.
Following the thorough inspection of the vehicle, a total of 32 foreign citizens were discovered hidden in semi-trailers, among the transported goods, respectively in the trunks of cars .
The persons were picked up and transported to the headquarters of the sector for investigations where, following checks, the border police established that they were citizens of Syria, who intended to fraudulently cross the state border.
Also, at the Nădlac Border Crossing Point , officers carried out the control over a truck registered in Turkey, driven by a Turkish citizen transporting fruit from Turkey to the Czech Republic. After the check, they discovered 2 people in the driver’s cabin. During the preliminary checks, the border guards determined that they were citizens of Syria.
