46 foreign nationals, hidden in a truck, detected by the Romanian border police

Border guards discovered 46 foreign nationals trying to cross the border illegally hidden in a caravan driven by a Turkish driver.

At the Borș II Border Crossing Point, a Turkish citizen showed up for the border formalities, on the way out of the country, driving a heavy goods vehicle registered in Turkey. According to the documents accompanying the goods, he was transporting washing machine tanks on the Turkey-Sweden route.

Following a thorough inspection of the means of transport, the border guards discovered, hidden in the cargo compartment, forty-six foreign nationals. The persons were taken over and transported to the headquarters of the PF Borș Sector, for research.

During the preliminary checks, the border police established that the people are citizens of Iraq, Syria, Somalia and Turkey, aged between 7 and 54 years.
