50 foreign citizens detected at Romanian PTF Borș II and Nădlac border crossing

49 foreign nationals who were trying to cross the border illegally in Hungary, hidden in two car parks, respectively on foot, were found by the border police from Borș II and Nădlac.

On 06.05.2021, the border guards from the Borsch II Border Crossing Point carried out a thorough check on two road complexes led by two Turkish citizens. According to the accompanying documents, both drivers were transporting aluminum rollers packed in wooden boxes from Turkey to Poland.

Following an inspection, 44  foreign citizens were discovered inside them, hidden among the transported goods .

The people were picked up and transported to the headquarters of the sector for research. Following the checks, the border police established that the people in question are citizens of Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan, of which 28 were men, 14 women and two children. The 44 foreign citizens are between 7 and 45 years old and are asylum seekers in Romania.

Also on 06.05.2021, during the specific surveillance actions, the border policemen from the Nădlac Border Police Sector noticed, approximately 100 meters from the border line,  five people walking. As they did not justify their presence in the area, they were taken to the sector headquarters for checks. The research established that they are citizens of Tunisia, Morocco and Algeria aged between 30 and 44 years.
