58 foreign citizens, detected in an attempt to cross the border illegally

At the Romanian Nădlac II Border Crossing Point, a Turkish citizen, driving a road vehicle registered in Turkey, presented himself for border formalities on the way out of the country. According to the documents accompanying the goods, the driver was transporting furniture for a trading company in Denmark.

Following the thorough inspection of the vehicle, 43 foreign citizens were discovered hidden in the semi-trailer, among the transported goods.

The persons were picked up and transported to the headquarters of the sector for investigations where, following checks, the border police established that they were citizens of Syria, Iraq and Iran, who intended to fraudulently cross the state border.

And the border police officers from the Nădlac Border Crossing Point carried out the control, upon exiting the country, on a truck driven by a Turkish citizen transporting fruit on the Turkey-Austria route.

Following the control, 15 foreign nationals were discovered in the cargo compartment .

During the checks, our colleagues established that the persons are citizens of Syria who wanted to arrive fraudulently in the states of Western Europe.
