Citizens of Syria, Iraq, Algeria, Morocco, Palestine and Libya, found on the border with Hungary
On 27.03.2021, around 00.20, at the Romanian Borsch II Border Crossing Point , a Turkish citizen presented himself for carrying out the border formalities on the way out of the country, driving a road assembly consisting of a tractor and a semi-trailer, both registered in Turkey. According to the documents accompanying the goods, the driver was carrying plastic drums on the Turkey – Poland route.
Following the thorough control of the means of transport, ten foreign citizens were discovered inside it, hidden in the cargo compartment . During the preliminary checks, the border police established that the people in question are citizens of Syria and Iraq, aged between 19 and 27.
The border police officers from the Nădlac Border Police Sector also carried out specific actions to prevent illegal migration in the area of competence, as a result of which they found, near the border line, two groups of nine people walking on the field. , with the intention of crossing the border into Hungary.
The people were picked up and transported to the headquarters of the sector for research. Thus, the border guards established that the persons in question are five citizens of Morocco, three citizens of Algeria and one of Libya, aged between 17 and 37 years.
A similar case was registered at the Nădlac II Border Crossing Point , where the border guards found in the freight terminal, on the way out of the country, about 100 m from the border with Hungary, three men trying to cross the border into the neighboring country. Research has shown that two of them are 22 and 30-year-old Moroccans, respectively, and the other is a 22-year-old Palestinian.
In all cases, the border police officers carry out investigations in order to establish the entire criminal activity, and the necessary legal measures will be ordered upon completion.
