ClanTect has launched a wireless sensor testing system for their Human Presence Detection System (or Heart-Beat Detector)
ClanTect Ltd has launched an important new wireless sensor testing system for both their wireless desktop ClanTect MDT and the new ClanTect MDT Mobile Human Presence Detection System(or Heart-Beat Detectors).
Professor Steve Daley, CEO of ClanTect Ltd: “Often users of these detectors are unaware that with this sensor technology, there is an inevitable degradation in the health of the sensors, which could lead to false results. Meaning that you can routinely be missing positive alerts (illegal migrants) or generating false positives.
This applies to all heartbeat detector systems on the market, not just ClanTect systems.
Steve Daley went on to say: “It is therefore important to check the health of your sensors routinely, to ensure they are still operating at maximum efficiency. In the past, for our cable systems, we have provided a separate device for testing the sensors. But with the launch of our next generation, wireless ClanTect MDT Mobile for use by mobile patrol units, it became obvious that a new solution was necessary. So, we developed a push button wireless testing system that is an integral part of the unit. This is an important development because testing sensors is not an optional extra but vital to their effectiveness, and we are the only ones now offering this.
ClanTect’s systems are already deployed within a wide range of organisations in the Border Security, Prisons and Critical Infrastructure markets. Customers include world leading organisations such as the UK Border Force and Frontex, the European Border and Coast Guard Agency and Her Majesty’s Prison Service in the UK. Tens of thousands of clandestines and fugitives are detected by ClanTect systems each year, with hundreds of lives being saved.
