Four people pre-arrested, following searches in Tulcea county of a group specialized in drug trafficking

Border police officers from the Coast Guard – Territorial Service of the Tulcea Border Police, together with officers of the Service for Combating Organized Crime Tulcea, searched ten homes within the Tulcea municipality in a criminal case regarding the commission of high-risk drug trafficking crimes.

The action represents a stage of the criminal procedure activities, carried out by the border police, at the delegation of DIICOT prosecutors, to prove the criminal activity of a group that specialized in the trafficking of prohibited substances, from which it emerged that the defendants, in the period 2021 – January 2024, repeatedly possessed and sold dangerous drugs (cannabis and cannabis resin) to consumers within Tulcea county, with amounts between 60 and 200 lei. Also, on various occasions, they offered free, handmade cannabis cigarettes.
