Half a million euros seized from an organization dedicated to drug trafficking in several provinces
The Civil Guard and the National Police have arrested 22 people involved in the distribution and sale of cocaine nationwide in a joint investigation.
Within the framework of the operation “Itálica 129 domo hércules alumbramiento” a structured and hierarchical criminal organization has been dismantled, based in Seville and with branches in other provinces such as Cádiz and Huelva and the Valencian Community.
The investigation began last July 2023, when the Regional Analysis and Intelligence Centre (CRAIN) of the Civil Guard detected the organisation distributing large quantities of cocaine, with the epicentre of the activity in the Seville town of Dos Hermanas as the main supply channel.
Once the data was verified, members of the Civil Guard belonging to the Organised Crime and Anti-Drug Team of the Seville and Huelva Command, together with the Narcotics Group of the Dos Hermanas Police Station, began the investigations in a coordinated manner.
The first arrests were made last December during a cocaine delivery check, seizing a large quantity of the substance. At that time, two members of the organisation were arrested who were carrying six kilograms of cocaine in a false bottom. These first arrests caused the organisation to tighten security measures.
The next arrests were in March when two members of the organization were in a vehicle with ten kilograms of cocaine in a false bottom. One of these detainees was also the leader of the organization.
11 house searches and raids
Once all the members of the organisation had been identified, the operation was carried out with 11 house searches and raids in the provinces of Seville, Huelva and Castellón.
During these searches, half a million euros in banknotes of various denominations were seized. Also seized were 38 kilograms of cocaine, 54 kilos of vacuum-packed marijuana, a kilo of tusi (pink cocaine), more than half a kilo of methamphetamine, 12 kilos of hashish, three weapons of war (a cetme LC, a Kalashnikov and a submachine gun), two stolen long weapons and a nine-millimeter pistol with a silencer. In addition, two bulletproof vests, a money-counting machine, GPS, five vehicles, several of them high-end, three motorcycles and a stolen all-terrain vehicle, as well as numerous documents.
The 10th Court of Instruction in Seville has ordered the imprisonment of 12 of the 22 detainees.
The investigation was carried out by the Organised Crime and Anti-Drug Team of the Civil Guard Command of Seville and Huelva, together with the Narcotics Group of the Dos Hermanas Police Station. In addition, the CRAIN, the Organised Crime and Anti-Drug Team of the Seville and Huelva Command, together with the Narcotics Group of the Dos Hermanas Police Station have collaborated. The GAR, GOES of Seville, GRS of Seville and Valencia, UCES of Seville and Algeciras, police officers attached to the Local Brigades of Scientific Police, Citizen Security and Immigration of Dos Hermanas, members of Citizen Security of the Seville Command have also participated in the security operation.
