The investigators secured the cargo of over 2,000 bottles of Spanish wine with drugs hidden in them. A man was arrested who may be related to the hooligan milieu of one of Krakow’s sports clubs.
Officers from the Carpathian Department of the Border Guard and the Board in Krakow of the Police Central Investigation Bureau determined that a drug shipment from Spain was headed for Poland. Joint actions were carried out and the warehouse hall located in the Krakow poviat was searched. At that time, pallets were unloaded from the truck with cartons of Spanish wine. Between the pallets, officers found 44 kg of marijuana, vacuum-packed in plastic bags. From this amount of the drug, it would be possible to prepare nearly 44 thousand dealer plots, and the estimated black-market value of the acquired drugs is nearly 850 thousand. zloty. For possible fines, the investigators secured over 2,000 bottles of wine worth around 230 thousand zloty.
The prosecutor of the Małopolska Branch of the Department for Organized Crime and Corruption of the National Public Prosecutor’s Office in Krakow accused a 42-year-old man of smuggling large amounts of intoxicants. This offense is punishable by imprisonment for up to 15 years. According to the findings of the investigators, the detainee may be related to the milieu of hooligans of one of Krakow’s sports clubs.
