Migrants who crossed the border into Slovakia were detained

Officers from the Polish Silesian Border Guard Unit detained further groups of illegal migrants who crossed the border from Slovakia to Poland, and a people smuggler.

In Zwardoń, in a forest area near the state border, Border Guard officers (thanks to information obtained from police officers from the Police Station in Rajcza and WOT) detained 5 migrants. They moved on foot. They were adult men, Syrian citizens, who did not have any documents. Administrative proceedings were initiated against all of them to issue decisions requiring them to return. The foreigners were released and left the Border Guard premises.

Following information obtained from officers of the National Tax Administration from Opole and with their cooperation, in the Prószków area (node ​​A4), officers from the Silesian Border Guard Branch detained 32 people who pretended to be Syrian citizens. Among them were 2 women and 2 children. The foreigners were transported in a bus with Slovak registration numbers. The driver abandoned the vehicle with the migrants and fled. Official activities with the detained are ongoing.

Border Guard officers, thanks to information obtained from WOT, also detained another 22 Syrian citizens in Jaworzynka. All people were adults. The foreigners moved around on foot in the forest area. All detainees have Slovak documents (authorizing them to stay temporarily in Slovakia), which, however, do not contain personal data. Currently, the detainees are staying in the Border Guard’s premises, where further official activities are ongoing.
