Nearly 92 kg of cannabis was found by customs officers during an inspection of a truck in the area of the Kulata, Bulgaria.

Around 08. 00 on 20. 05. 2023 in the area of the BCP Kulata the customs officers from the Department “Fight against Drug Trafficking” at the Customs Department Sofia stopped for inspection a cargo composition with Bulgarian registration, consisting of a tractor with an attached refrigerated semi-trailer.

The vehicle was selected for X-ray inspection and image analysis performed. During the subsequent physical inspection, 154 packages of marijuana weighing a total of 91,800 kg were found in a specially constructed double-bottomed cache on the refrigerated semitrailer.

The driver of the truck (30 years old) and the passenger (39 years old) were charged in the case.
