On June 2, officers from the Podlasie Border Guard Unit foiled 20 attempts to illegally cross the Polish-Belarusian border

The largest number of foreigners, 11 people, were disclosed in the section of the official responsibility of the Border Guard Post in Czeremcha. Other incidents related to illegal migration took place  in the sections protected by the Border Guard Posts in Narewka, Kuźnica, Białowieża and in Dubicze Cerkiewne, where a wooden footbridge was used to cross. Illegal migrants came from Algeria, Afghanistan, Syria, Iran, Tunisia and Cameroon.

That day, officers from the Border Guard Post in Narewka also detained 2 helpers (Ukrainian citizens) in organizing the illegal border crossing.
