Provocations on the Polish-Belarusian border

Over the last weekend, 93 people have illegally tried to cross the Polish-Belarusian border. There were also several attempts to force the border by force.

The foreigners were detained in sections protected by Border Guard posts in: Michałów, Narewka, Kuźnica, Nowy Dwór, Płaska, Bobrowniki, Czeremsza, Leipzig, Dubicze Cerkiewne, Mielnik and Szudziałów. They were citizens of: Iraq, Yemen, Syria, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Egypt, Côte d’Ivoire, Senegal, Bangladesh, Cameroon and Congo. In sections of the official responsibility of the Border Guard Posts in Czeremsza, Mielnik and Dubicze Cerkiewne, aggressive migrants, together with the Belarusian services, threw stones and pieces of trees at Polish services and blinded Polish patrols with laser lights. In this way, an attempt was made to divert attention from, among other things, attempts to forcibly push through the border.

Last weekend, 6 people suspected of organizing and assisting in crossing the state border against the law were also detained.
