SEF detects 26 passengers with false documents between Christmas Day and the New Year’s Eve

​The Immigration and Borders Service (SEF), Portugal, has detected, at Lisboa International Airport, between 25 December 2020 and 01 January 2021, a total of 26 passengers with false documents and/or no travel document.

At the international arrival border about 16 frauds have been intercepted, to which the entry has been refused. At SEF departures border, SEF has detected 10 frauds, and which the foreign nationals have been detained.

It should be mentioned that one of the situations has involved an adult accompanied by two underaged, with the purpose to travel to London, the United Kingdom, with false Italian travel documents. They have been brought to the Court, and the accommodation at the Temporary Accommodation Centre, for further removal from the national territory to their country of origin, has been determined as a cautionary measure.
