Sports shoes likely to be counterfeit, worth approximately one million euros, discovered by Romanian border police

A joint team made up of border policemen from the Coast Guard and customs inspectors from the Constanța South-Agigea Border Customs Bureau carried out the physical control over a truck consisting of a tractor and a semi-trailer, loaded with goods, arrived from Georgia, on a RO-RO type ship whose destination was a commercial company in Ukraine.

After thorough checks, it was found that inside the semi-trailer there were 9,352 pairs of sports shoes, products likely to affect the intellectual property rights of well-known brands. The total value of the goods amounts to approximately 1,000,000 euros if it had been marketed as an original brand.
