The courier and 9 migrants were caught while traveling to Germany

Aggression from migrants, a damaged Border Guard service car, 2 couriers detained and 60 attempts to illegally enter the territory of our country are the results of the last 24 hours on the Polish-Belarusian border.

On the October 19 in the area protected by the Border Guard Post in Białowieża, a Polish patrol was attacked with stones and branches. During this incident, two windows in a company vehicle were punctured by an object flying at very high speed. None of the officers were hurt. 

Due to numerous attacks on Polish services protecting the border, several dozen patrol vehicles are being barred and secured with specialized foil in the Podlasie Border Guard Unit.  

Illegal crossings of the Polish-Belarusian border were also recorded in the areas of responsibility of Border Guard posts in Michałów and Dubicze Cerkiewne. The disclosed migrants included people from Afghanistan, India, Iran and Pakistan. Upon seeing the Polish services, 25 foreigners retreated to Belarus.

In the town of Bagniuki, officers stopped a Renault with Moldovan license plates for inspection. It was established that the two Moldovan citizens traveling in the vehicle were heading to the state border area to pick up a group of illegal migrants.

Since the beginning of this year, officers from the Podlaskie Branch of the Border Guard have detained 471 helpers and organizers in illegally crossing the Polish-Belarusian border.
