The four main members of the hacktivist group ‘Anonymous Phoenix’ have been arrested for cyberattacks against public bodies
They attacked the websites of ministries, political parties, and public institutions. They called themselves part of the international hacker group ‘Anonymous’.
They reached their peak activity after the DANA storm of 2024 when they attacked several public administration websites, justifying their actions by claiming they were “responsible for the tragedy.”
Last May, the group’s administrator and moderator were arrested in Alcalá de Henares (Madrid) and Oviedo (Asturias). A few days ago, its two most active members were arrested in Ibiza and Móstoles (Madrid).
