18 migrants stopped at the western border: 5 of them, detected with the help of a drone

Border police officers from the Vărşand Border Police Sector observed with the help of a drone, a group of five people on foot. They identified their position were and intercepted them. Since they did not justify their presence in the area, they were taken to the headquarters of the sector for verification. After investigation it was established that they are citizens of Pakistan and Sri Lanka, legally entering our country.

At Turnu Border Police Sector together with border policemen from the Territorial Service of the Timiş Border Police detected, approximately 50 meters from the border line, a car registered in Serbia and driven by a Romanian , five foreign citizens.

In this case, the border police established that they are citizens of Sri Lanka, Ethiopia and Bangladesh.

Also, the border police officers from the Bihor Diocese Border Crossing Point discovered, on 17.02.2024, three people from Congo , hidden under one of the semi-trailers carried by the carriages of the freight train traveling on the Oradea-Stuttgart route. Five other people from Egypt were discovered approximately 300 meters from the border line, by border police officers from the Borș Border Police Sector, in a vehicle registered in Italy.
