2023 Congress Concludes in Skopje

Excellent Ministerial Opening Keynote at the 2023 World Border Security Congress with nearly 400 delegates from over 50 countries gathering in Skopje, North Macedonia. Oliver Spasovski, Minister of Interior, gave a warm welcome to the event and delegates, encouraging collaboration and cooperation amongst the international border security, protection and management community.

The 2023 World Border Security Congress came to a close on 27th April, with an exciting panel discussion on ‘Delivering Effective Border Management in Uncertain Times’, following 3 days of intense discussions, workshops, meetings, networking and opportunities to visit Skopje Airport and Tabanovce Land Border and Transit Reception Centre.

The organisers also thanked the Ministry of Interior and Border Police of North Macedonia for the excellent hosting and support of the 2023 Congress, which was a resounding success with 400 participants from 54 countries in attendance during the 3 days.

The Exhibition gave the delegates the opportunity to explore and discover some of the latest technologies and innovations for deployment at the border for enhancing their border security, protection and management.

At the close of the event, Mehmet Yuzer, Head of Border Management, Foreign Relations and Project Department from the Ministry of Interior of Turkey invited the delegations to Istanbul to the 2024 World Border Security Congress, that will be hosting the event on 24th-26th April 2024, for the next annual gathering of the international border security, protection & management community.
