22 foreign nationals, found hidden in cars at Romanias Nădlac Border Crossing

At the Nădlac II Border Crossing Point , Arad County, the border police carried out a thorough check on two vehicles, a road and a van, driven by two Bulgarian citizens. Drivers were carrying various goods, consisting of tea boxes and plastic products, for companies in the Netherlands and Belgium.

Following the detailed checks carried out on the basis of the risk analysis, the border guards discovered, hidden in the cargo compartments of the means of transport, twenty-two foreign nationals.

The persons were taken and transported to the headquarters of the research sector where, following the verifications, it was established that they were citizens of Syria, Turkey, India, Iraq and Afghanistan, all men, who intended to reach the Schengen area without fulfilling the legal conditions.
