At the Nădlac II Border Crossing Point , Arad county, two Romanian citizens and one Turkish citizen, driving a road vehicle registered in Turkey, presented themselves for border formalities on the way out of the country and two vans registered in Romania. According to the documents accompanying the goods, the drivers were transporting groupages (various goods) and auto parts for commercial companies in Germany and France, and one of them was traveling without a load on the Romania-France route.
Based on the risk analysis, the border police carried out a thorough control of the three means of transport. Thus, a total of 44 foreign citizens were discovered hidden in the cargo compartments .
The persons were picked up and transported to the headquarters of the sector for investigations where, following checks, our colleagues established that they are citizens of Syria, Ghana, Yemen, Somalia, Bangladesh and Nepal, and most of them entered our country legally based on personal documents. They all intended to arrive fraudulently in a Western European state.
