71,000 euros hidden under a seat were found by customs officials in the area of Danube Bridge

The customs officers from TD Customs Rousse found nearly 71,000 euros hidden by the driver under a seat in a cargo van.

On 11.12.2022, a mobile group of customs officers from the “Operational Control Lom” Sector of the “Customs Investigation and Intelligence” Department – TD Customs Rousse carried out an inspection of a light truck in the area of the Danube Bridge 2 – Vidin BCP.

The van was driven by a Turkish citizen and it was traveling from Western Europe to Turkey. During the thorough customs check, the inspectors found undeclared 70,980 euros under the seat of the passenger seat in the car. An act was drawn up for the established administrative violation.
