Bulgarian Customs officers at Kapitan Andreevo BCP found 7.6 kg of ecstasy, hidden in the driver’s cabin of a truck

7.6 kg of ecstasy were detained by the customs officials of the Kapitan Andreevo BCP during an inspection of a truck.

A truck with Turkish registration, traveling to Turkey. According to the “risk analysis” method, the customs officials selected the vehicle for a thorough inspection, during which 6 packets of blue pills were found in the instrument panel of the driver’s cabin. In a field drug test, the pills tested positive for ecstasy. The total amount of the discovered narcotic substance is 7,620 kg, worth 190,500 BGN at prices for the needs of the court proceedings.

The truck driver has been arrested. A pre-trial proceeding was initiated by an investigative customs inspector under the supervision of the District Prosecutor’s Office – Haskovo.
