Chairman of the NATO Military Committee Admiral Bauer, Got Acquainted With the Situation on the Lithuanian-Belarusian Border
The Chairman of the NATO Military Committee, Admiral Rob Bauer, visited the Lithuanian Border Guard School and the Lithuanian-Belarusian border. He was welcomed by the head of the State Border Guard Service (SBGS), General Rustamas Liubajevas, and the head of the school, Deividas Kaminskas.
Admiral Bauer was introduced to the current situation on the Lithuanian border, the most relevant information on recent illegal migration flows and trends, and the measures taken by the SBGS to prevent the mass influx of foreigners organized by the Belarussian regime.
Admiral Bauer inspected the Medininkai Aliens Registration Center, located on the territory of the Border Guard School, near the Lithuanian-Belarusian border.
During his stay in Lithuania, Lieutenant Admiral will also visit the NATO Energy Security Competence Center in Vilnius, give a lecture at the Institute of International Relations and Political Science of Vilnius University, and host an event dedicated to the five-year anniversary of the NATO Front Forces Battalion.
Lieutenant Admiral R. Bauer of the Royal Netherlands Navy was appointed chairman of the NATO Military Committee in June last year.
