Fourteen foreign citizens without the right to travel to the Schengen area, detected by border guards at the western border

And the Romanian border police officers from the Borș Border Police Sector, together with workers from the Hungarian authorities, detected, following unsystematic checks carried out in the area, three foreign citizens without the right to travel in the Schengen area.

On 17.07.2025, border police officers from the Nădlac Border Police Sector, together with those from the Timișoara Border Police Territorial Inspectorate and police officers from the A1 Highway Police Office carried out random and unsystematic checks on the roads near the border. On this occasion, two cars registered in Hungary, each driven by a citizen of the Republic of Moldova and Romania, were stopped for inspection.

Following checks on the means of transport, a total of eleven foreign citizens were detected traveling with the drivers, without travel documents.

The individuals were taken and transported to the sector headquarters for checks where, following these, our colleagues determined that they were citizens of Iraq.

Also on 17.07.2025, border police officers from the Borș Border Police Sector , together with workers from the Hungarian authorities, carried out random and unsystematic checks on the communication routes near the border. On this occasion, a minibus registered in Romania, driven by a Romanian citizen, was stopped for inspection.

Following the control of the means of transport, three people , foreign citizens, aged between 29 and 37, were found traveling as passengers without travel documents.

The individuals were taken over and transported to the sector headquarters for checks, where border police determined that they were citizens of Nepal, legally entering Romania on the basis of work visas.
