Human trafficker detained at the border crossing in Medyka, Poland

Border Guard officers from the outpost in Medyka detained a Moldovan citizen prosecuted with an Interpol red notice.

The incident took place on August 3 at the border crossing in Medyka. A 44-year-old citizen of Moldova reported to check-in for departure from Poland. During the inspection, the border guards found out that the man was of interest to the Moldovan authorities, who issued a red Interpol notice against him. 

In the course of further checks, the uniformed officers received information that the foreigner was suspected of trafficking in human beings. For this crime, according to Moldovan law, he faces up to 15 years in prison.
