Man caught red-handed with over 38 kg of cannabis

A 31-year-old defendant was investigated for committing the crimes of illegally introducing dangerous drugs into the country and trafficking dangerous drugs.

The man was caught red-handed by border police officers from the Satu Mare Border Police Territorial Service and the Petea Border Police Sector when he introduced into the country, through the former Petea Border Crossing Point, the quantity of 38 kilograms of cannabis, intended for consumption.

The risky drug, portioned into over 100 bags, was found hidden in the roof of the van in which the defendant was traveling.
