Prevented smuggling of 30 Turkish citizens

On 3 August 2022, members of Border Police Unit Orašje prevented smuggling of 30 Turkish citizens at International Border Crossing Point Šamac.

Namely, with the intention of obtaining illegal property benefits for himself, a citizen of Republic of Croatia attempted to illegally transport across the state border, in the cargo area of his truck, Turkish citizens who did not meet the conditions for legal crossing of the state border.

Report on committed criminal offence ‘People smuggling’ referred to in Article 189 of the Criminal Code of BiH was submitted to the BiH Prosecutor’s Office against the above mentioned citizen of Republic of Croatia
