Weather balloons with illegal shipment

Officers from the Polish Border Guard post in Kuźnica, Lipsk commune, discovered two packages wrapped in black foil, along with the remains of weather balloons. The illegal shipments contained 3,000 cigarette packs with Belarusian excise stamps.

That same day, in the Bargłów Kościelny commune, officers discovered another package containing cigarettes smuggled in a balloon. Inside were over 1,500 packs of cigarettes with Belarusian excise stamps.   

The total value of the seized cigarette contraband is nearly PLN 80,000.
