13 people who entered Poland illegally were detained on the Polish-Lithuanian border
Border Guard Post in Sejny apprehended eight individuals (one Algerian, seven Eritrean) after illegally crossing the Polish-Lithuanian border. The foreigners lacked documents authorizing them to enter and stay in Poland.
The following day, June 4, 2026, in the Szypliszki commune, a patrol from the Border Guard Post in Rutka-Tartak and the Territorial Defence Force (WOT) detained five foreigners (one Moroccan, four Somali) while performing their duties. The detainees had crossed the so-called green border on foot and did not have the required documents.
All foreigners were transferred to Lithuania as part of the readmission process.
