EUBAM Libya launches its Technical Coordination Forum
EUBAM Libya launched its Technical Coordination Forum for EU institutions and Member States, aiming to enhance cooperation between them and our Libyan counterparts. In this 1st event, the Libyan Border Guards presented a well-received strategic review of their priorities and needs.
Participants included ambassadors from EU Member States and representatives from the EU family of institutions: EUBAM, the EU Delegations to Libya and Tunisia, Operation EUNAVFOR Irini, the Directorate-General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations, and the EU Liaison and Planning Cell.
In future events, the Mission will invite Libyan partners from other areas of its mandate, allowing a broad discussion of the planned initiatives in the areas of Border Management, Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice.
