Polish Border Guards intercepted 130 foreigners trying to enter Poland illegally from Belarus

On October 27th officers of the Polish Border Guards intercepted 130 foreigners trying to enter Poland illegally from Belarus. This is the highest number recorded by the Border Guard in many weeks. Another two couriers carrying 9 foreigners were detained.

The incidents took place on sections of the official responsibility of 10 Border Guard Posts (Kuźnica, Krynki, Szudziałów, Bobrowniki, Michałów, Narewka, Białowieża, Dubicze Cerkiewne, Czeremsza and Mielnik). Foreigners who tried to cross the border of our country illegally came from, among others, Iraq, Egypt, Turkey, Afghanistan, Syria and Sudan. In the area of ​​Krynki and Bobrowniki, 37 foreigners crossed the border of the Świsłocz river to the Polish side. Several groups also approached the dam, but at the sight of the patrols, they moved further into Belarus.

Two helpers who were transporting a total of 9 foreigners were also detained. A Moldovan citizen was detained in Krynki, carrying 5 Syrian citizens and 1 Egyptian in his car. During the inspection, it turned out that the transported foreigners got to Poland, crossing the border river Svisloch on a pontoon. The second courier-citizen of Ukraine, who traveled with 3 foreigners (2 citizens of Iraq and 1 Egypt) in Radziwiłłówka, was detained by officers from the Border Guard Post in Mielnik together with the Police.
