Counterfeit and undeclared goods, worth 4.5 million lei, found in Constanța Port
A joint team made up of border police officers from the Coast Guard and customs inspectors from the Constanta Sud Agigea Border Customs Bureau carried out the physical control over a container arrived from Bangladesh, loaded with clothing items, which had as recipient a commercial company from Iflov county.
Following detailed checks, it was found that inside the container, there were a total of 6,540 products that are likely to infringe on the intellectual property rights of well-known brands .
The goods in question, with a value of approximately 1,000,000 lei, if they had been marketed as branded products, were seized for expert examination and continued research.
Also on the same day, the joint control team carried out the physical control of a container arrived from China, loaded with various goods, which was addressed to a commercial company from Ukraine.
Following thorough checks, it was found that inside the container there were a total of 8,800 undeclared disposable electronic cigarettes, over 8,000 watches and phone cases, products that are likely to infringe on the intellectual property rights of well-known brands .
The goods in question, with a value of approximately 3,500,000 lei, if they had been marketed as branded products, were seized for expert examination and continued research.
